Fractional exclusion statistics in disordered interacting systems    [PDF]

George Alexandru Nemnes, Dragos-Victor Anghel
We develop a model based on the fractional exclusion statistics, applicable to disordered interacting systems. Here the species are organized in order to include classical degrees of freedom, such as the position. The model is particularly suitable for systems with localized states. Using the fermionic, bosonic and Wu perspectives of the formalism, we present the properties of systems with repulsive screened Coulomb interactions. We analyze the case of the homogeneous system, as well as a few test cases with non-uniformities in the local density of states. The particle density is determined and the margin (charging) effects are pointed out. In addition, peculiar deviations observed in the temperature dependence of the heat capacity and entropy are found, in accordance with the several degrees of disorder considered.
